Question? World First?

Does anyone know of any Duel Cab B2200 Mazdas here or overseas that are bagged? I don't beileve there are any done in america as I think that Mazda didn't offer the truck?? Can anyone confirm that?

I don't believe there are any done in Australia - I've been checking with everyone I know...
The one truck that I think could have been a duel cab is Dawgsled? The 1988 Mazda 2200? I think it was from canada I think to so it might be a duel cab? Were they offered there?

So I guess if there are none in Japan or Australia... That might make mine the first...

But as you'd imagine I don't want to make that claim without checking first...

So if you think there are none other then mine say so...

Or if you know of another tell us about it....

Either way give me some feeback on where I'm at so far...Here..

Well, I dont think I have ever seen a bagged duel cab Mazda anywhere. "Dawgsled" is from the US and it is not a factory duel cab.

because import restrictions require that EACH model pass DOT crash testing and EPA certification. It doesnt matter that it has the same engine and is almost the same truck, EACH MODEL has to pass cert. And cert costs around 5mil US per model. So if you cant sell enough to recoup that 5mil, the automaker decides to only import certain models.

Its like BMW in the early 80's (84-86). In the US we had 325e and 318i. In europe and everywhere else they had 320i, 323i, 325i. When money allowed, they added the 325i here, but we never got the 320i. The engine was almost identical (different stroke) and the body was the same as the 325i, but it would have cost 5mil to cert.

Its also the same reason that in 1994 the Mazda truck became a rebadged Ford Ranger while the rest of the world still got the Japanese version.
