I last seen the truck in 96. Pat had just sold it to Jason Demery. I bought most of the chrome engine parts off of it for my 89 TOYOTA that I was working on at the time. Jason's plans were to do IFS rear suspention on it along with a MUSTANG 2 front clip. I'm sure he still has the truck but not sure of the state it's in. I'll try and post some show pic's of it that I have.

So whats the big deal about that truck?

well, thats a good example why young guys will never be old school. Thats not a dig either, just saying that while you might look at that truck and say 'no big deal', back when it came out, to us guys that remember the issue: a truck laying rocker with a backhalf and full on chrome was a feat of marvel only comparable to either cold fusion or bubbles in beer, the single greatest thing that ever happened. I remember even my NON minitruckin friends bought that issue and were like "DAMN".

And no it wasnt the first body drop, that was the red hardbody on hydros a couple years earlier.

Jeeze does anyone else remember going to a show and having the fight a crowd to see the ONE BODYDROPPED TRUCK? Must be like how the young guys get their picture taken nowadays standing next to the latest escalade on 28's.

Thanks guys, it sure was the truck of the time. Thanks for any pics that can be provided. Does anyone have any pics of when it was painted orange. Remember there had to be a first, or close, bodydropped truck, this is thed truck I remember. Any more pics people have, would love to see. Thanks for the updates. Ballistic was the truck years ago.

Wow!!!I have that issue somewhere in storage...I remember heading to Spring Splash and drooling over the fact that there were more than a couple of body-dropped trucks and some even with wheels bigger than 16's. That thing was "the balls"!!

That truck was nice. Like Russ said if you remember at the time it came out, it wasn't like every other truck you see out there. Also built by a Relaxed Atmosphere member!

I remember those days, or open up a mini truckin and not see any pics of bodydropped trucks.

Does anyone have January 93 issue they would like to sell?
Is this the same Ballistic that was seen in the Soundstream ads painted orange?
Would love to see what happened to it.
I still drool over the truck, would have loved to see it though.
Thanks for all the pics and info guys, appreciate it.

Thanks for explaining Russ. And you're right, I really don't know the old school mini truck scene. I was like 5 when that issue came out. Its not really a goal of mine to research all that stuff though.
