This GD isuzu shit is driving me crazy, I did the 2.6 swap in my 89 pup. now I cant get the motor running, It ran before i took it out and did the bd. Its seamed to be out of time so i got it to Top Dead Center and put the distrubutor back in it fired and ran for a secon the nuthing, Ive tried retiming it like 20 time in the past 3 days.. im ready to give up. Heres a question so it dosent seam like you read this for nuthing,Are the 2.3 and the 2.6 blocks the same, I have the old 2.3 i pulled out and I havent even look at what is needed to get it running I had the 2.6 layin there so I swapped it. I guess im gonna go unswap them and rebuild the 2.3. I hate this shit

It sound like you have the dist out still, does it start fine or does it have a hard time starting.

yeah it was. I moved the dis, back 1 tooth and now I can get it to the 12* btdc mark. It still not running right Im sure its the vacume hoses. When I get them right ill time it again. Another question what is the thing on the valve cover that screws in and a vacume hose goes to? Is it like a PCV valve?
