what i did for my truck.... was put angle iron across the frame near the back of the cab flush with the edges of the box mounts(where the bolts go through) I then ran plumb bobs on each corner(right infront of the diff on each side) that gave me a reference point( factory one that would be square and true. I than ran a plumb bob off each side of the back of the diff(another measureing point)..and measured each side ensuring they were equal.(diff to front, each side) First time worked perfect, truck didnt dog track at all. THe plumb bobs work great, beacuse you just measure off the hanging string... that way you can measure with the measuring tape level to get a good number. If you dont understand, i will draw a picture. Im not always great at explaining stuff.
