do you guys have problems with the 22re

how many people have had major problems with there 22re,im on my third motor,first one was still runing but i swapped it for a rebuild,the rebuild threw a rod then i put a used motor and that blew a head gasket

never had any problem with them, a great motor if you ask mine, my 22R in my 4 Wheel drive toy i sunk 3 times and it still ran perfect

The 22r & 22re are pretty much bullet proof!Lost a head gasket on one,over 200,000 miles on it. 196,000 on another,was running good,just pushing oil past the rings. Now have a LC Pro Street EFI,great engines!

yeah the 22r motors are great maybe u just have bad luck or something

lol have someone else build it other then who ever you have doing it. dam i had a 22re in my work truck and at 420,000 miles it just got an oil leak lol
