A buddy got his truck bagged and I have a few questions. First his switches only work when the key is on. Don't most systems allow you to play with switches when the car is off. Second should you lose all the air in your tank while car is parked? How many times should you be able to lift and lower a truck with a 5 gallon tank? Sorry for stupid questions.

yes u should be able to play with the switches when the truck is off and no u shouldnt lose all the air in your tank when it is parked. u have a small leak somewhere.

depends on if they wired the power to the switches to a ign. hot instead of a B+ hot. is that parked over nite? depending on the pressure of the tank, i got 1 lift out of mine when i had a 5 gallon.

I guess its my preference but i always wire my swithc box only to operate when the ignition is on acc. or run.

you need that switch box wired to always be on cause if they gotta tow we will get your door open and at least get it up before we put it on the truck...and we will drag that bitch on to the tow truck if we have to...yeah that 5 gallon deal is shitty, thats a real small amount of air, you should look into 10 gallons with two compressors

man I run a 3 gallon on my ranger and I can pick my whole truck up 2 times on it and I could get my accord up 3 times on a 5gallon.... U occasionally have to drain the water out of the tank so U have a little more room for air again lol. on my isuzu I had a 12 gallon that I could pick my truck up with about 9 times and I never drained that bitch. When I went to redo my link and pulled all the shit out of the truck I emptied like 6 or 7 gallons of water out of the tank.... It looked like orange soda hahahah

bein towed around here isnt much of a problem, dunno how it is there.. but the way the switches are wired is common. pretty much personal preference, I personally use a small toggle somewhere, sometimes hidden.. so while driving or leaving windows down around people I can turn em off to prevent accidently hitting em.

Take some soapy water and spray ALL your fittings and keep checking and get those leaks fixed, theyre a pain and it sucks waiting for air in the mornings..

About the how many times you can lift question, all depends on the PSI, weight of the vehicle, how the bags are mounted, what bags they are, and how high you want to lift it to.
