Allright so I sold my ranger about 2 years ago in the middle of body dropping it because I had no time to finish it and to many projects. Any way, Im buying it back this week, basically all it needs is a fuell cell and a pump. Im not going to use the stock pump. Can anyone tell me what cell and pump combo I should purchase ? (like brand and model) Btw its a 95 w/ a 2.3 Thanks guys

Just go to your local AutoZone or other parts store. They should have a fuel pump reference book. Look up your stock in-tank pump and write down the psi, and gph. Then just find any in-line pump that is the same or very very close. You should be able to get one for about $100. Just did this for a buddy a few weeks ago and he got one for his Nissan for $107.

Also remember that alot of fuel cells don't have a strainer in them so it's cheap insurance to put an inline filter before the pump. You can pick one up at the same place for next to nothing.

The return line goes back to the tank, not the pump. Here's the whole layout in simple terms:

1. Fuel cell spout #1 to inline filter
2. Inline filter to inline pump
3. Inline pump to OEM fuel delivery line
4. OEM return line to spout #2 on fuel cell

That's it. Then you'll need to power the new pump of course. The easiest way is to use the OEM fuel pump power and ground wires on the new pump. At that point it should run just like it did with the stock tank and pump. Just remember, fuel isn't something to play around with so do it right the first time. Route the lines carefully and mount everything securely.
