How much do you need to flare 2wd fenders to lay frame on 205 40? does it look goofy? is it worth it?

never heard of anyone having to do it on a dawg but its not worth it... just save up and buy a wheel u want and get the right offset instead of havin to buy a new bed if that one turns out lookin to shitty

you just gotta roll the lip on the fenders and bed in, unless your bodydropped, then the lip of the wheel will rub you bed. thats what mine was doin

My buddy has a 215/45 on a escalade wheel and he flared his side about a 1- 1 1/2, and it looks just fine, its hard to notice if ur not lookin for it. We also rolled his inner lip and still had to flare the side to clear and full deflation!!!

oops, i guess hes just talkin about the front huh?? Oh well, now u know what he did to the rear!?!

my front will tuck just fine, its the rear i'm worried about, don't really want to f up the bedsides that much, i guess i should should just bolt the wheels on in the rear and air it down a bit so i can get an idea of how much flaring i would have to do.

I cut my bed supports and pulled the side out just a 1/2 inch, then welded them back up. It looks _really_ good, if I do say so myself. Pics in profile, looks way better than flaring them.

yea, that's what i was thinkin of doing, i remember an old tech article in minitruckin, did you have to role the fender lip too, or no?

nope. The only reason you have to roll the fender lip is because you arent bodydropped. If you cut the bed supports and pull the bedsides out slightly, you dont need to roll anything.
