I am in the process of putting air on my CRX and was wanting advice on getting it to lay as low as possible with cans. What do I need to do and what to look out for. This is my first air set up and would like to get all the help I can to do it right the first time. I am rolling on 17's and would like to get it on the rockers.

hey whats up i had air on my crx with 17's and i want to say it was about 3-4 inches from laying on the kit. if i jacked the rear all the way up and the front was slammed then my front bumper would be pretty much on the ground. would of advice if you running a header be careful because mine would smack on the ground and caused a headgasket leak.

Thanks for the advice. I did some measuringing yesterday with the car still with struts, and for me to lay it on the subframe I will need it to drop 6 inches. Think this will be possible. Would like to know what kind of cutting I may have to do to my car to get it to lay out.

This is how the car sits now with coilovers. How much lower can I expect to go with just bolting on cans?

If you wanna be low you better be ready to cut and weld, bolt on isnt gonna get you there. Tub the rear wheel wells, cut and raise your upper strut towers in the front. Or go crazy and tube frame that thing.

So I will need to tub the back and redo the strut towers to get it that low. How much would I need to raise the strut towers and wheel wells to get what I want.

if you check my profile theres a pic of my crx with coilovers i took off the air, as for getting lower yea what he said you will have to redo the strut towers in back and not sure what you would do in the front because if you raised the towers to much i think it would hit the hood or something. hey do you do any db drags or anything with your rex?

I have been competing in the USAC org. for the past 3 years with the car and have retired it recently. I have set 6 world records with it and have won a world championship with it in 04. I am just looking to do something different with it now.
