I saw this today...neone know anything about it? like how hard it is to swap over to...is it worth it, what are the pro's and con's? so on and so forth. Thanks guys

I'm doing it in my truck.... but I'm going from a Z24 to a KA24E with the 240 intake, Harness and computer. From what I hear about people doing it is that most of the harness will plug into the 240sx intake sensors... just one or 2 that need to be reconfigured to work. Also I believe you will have to run the 240sx computer, most of the guys that ran with the truck computer say the engine burns more gas than before.

LOL, well the last thing i want is to burn more gas, my truck only gets about 20 mpg on a good day anyway. Its really freakin aggravating. I thought that i was going to have really good gas mileage. My buddy has a cherokee with the straight 6 and he gets better gas mileage than i do...

The 240 intake has individual fuel injectors for each cylinder, while the truck motor uses a simpler throttle body injector setup. To swap from one to the other, you'll need to transfer the wire harness, as well as the fuel rail, throttle linkage, mass air sensor, and everything else that goes on the car, including the ECU. It's a lot of work, but you should end up with a motor that is MORE fuel efficient, because the engine will be able to monitor air/fuel mixture more accurately. Plus, it looks a lot nicer!
Good luck with the project!

I have a 97 with a 2.4 ka24e and it has 4 injectors in the end of the intake manifold just like the 240sx intake.

My bad. I've been looking at too many engines lately!
I know you'll at least have to deal with the MAF setup and wiring, which will require the 240sx ecu, but if that's the only difference between the harnesses you may be able to splice it.
Somebody should post scans of the wiring diagrams for both harnesses so we can see exactly which wires are different. If you can get away with just adding a few wires you'll be a lot happier than rewiring the whole engine!

A whole lot nicer looking. I also have a Truck KA intake and it has 4 injectors as well..... only things that needs to be rewired are the MAF and i believe some sort of Air control valve (not sure on that).

I'm borrowing all the necessary components and wiring off 240's so I'll let you guys know on the gas milage once I get it running. Anything better than what the old carb Z24 was getting (16mpg) is better for me.

I don't know the car intake is hot no doubt, but it might end up being more work than i originally wanted. But if it would increase the fuel efficiency enough then i'd defenitely be down. However i'm thinking of getting a new vehicle soon anyway, maybe a xB or a Isuzu i280
