i have a small block 350 that my carb took a poop. it has a edelbrock carb and intake manafold on it. my problem is that the two back bolts broke off when i was trying to change the carb to fix it. well i drilled them out and used e-z out bit to get the bolts out. we were able to get one bolt out but the e-z out bit broke off in the other bolt. now every drill bit i use to try and drill it back out just gets rounded off because it doesn't want to drill through the hardend steel. any ideas? i know i could just get a new intake manafold but that's kinda more work then i wanted to deal with. thanks.

does it not have another set of holes you can use? I know my rpm only has one but my old one had two sets of holes

if you have to get them out find a local tool company and get a carbide drill bit.. it will drill hardened steel.. it can either be a solid carbide drill or get a higher quality masonry bit thats carbide tipped... hope this helps

na its only got one set of holes. thanks lyinlow. i figured there's got to be some kinda drill bit that would drill it out. i tryed using titanum drill bits bit it just toasts them. how much do you think carbide drill bit would cost?

I've seen someone weld another bolt on top of the broken one and then back it out that way...
