Hi guys. I've finally got the dawg back on the road, and now I'm wanting to play with it some more. First, on the 5 lug conversion, I know people used to put the toyota front rotors on with a toy rear end. Good or bad? I recently read about putting toy spindles on, how does that work? Do you run the toy or maz calipers? Also, what is involved in putting a toyota rear end on a mazda? Will the spring pads line up, or will I have to put new ones on? Any info would be appreciated. I've seen the front hub kit, but I can't really afford it, but it's nice.

Carb questions.....I should've just v8ed it. I know you can run the Pinto carb, but where do you get the adapter? Most of the companies that I've checked that sell the conversions don't want to sell you just the plate unless you buy their kit. Also, my trucks an auto, how much of a pain in the ass will the kickdown be to fab up?

I know I'm forgetting something, but, I'll deal with it later. Thanks, I know you guess will have all my answers.

toyota front: You cant put toyota hubs on mazda spindles. The only way to do it is to custom attach the toyota balljoints to the mazda arms. You have to use the entire toyota assembly including brakes, and your tie rod adjusters are also custom.

toyota rear: again, custom. The spring pads will by no stretch of imagination line up, and you have to have the driveshaft remade to fit.

pinto carb: you need the weber-mazda adapter. You can make one yourself, again, custom, but if you are asking companies and they only want to sell you a kit, then you are asking the wrong companies. The weber "kit" is just a universal weber 32/36 dgev and then the seperate adapters for linkage and mounting, I bought them seperate and so can you. Nobody makes a linkage adapter for the pinto carb though, are you tired of hearing it yet? CUSTOM.

i have yota spindles on my truck they are awsome,so much more travel with the yota balljoints.the tie rods were the only kink in the conversion.so i cut the jointend of the yota tie rod and the threaded end of the mazda tie rod and welded them together.came out awsome.and the yota axle is about 2 inches more narrow than the mazda so it makes it easier to tuck bigger rims.it took me about 4 hours to do the initial swap on the first side and then the second side it took not even an hour to put on.
