Sectioning Oil-pans

Does anyone know anybody that can or will section a oilpan, I have a 3.1 rodeo and i need a few inches taken off the oil pan.

A shop right by mine did my oil pan on my 2.6 .

You should pull your pan off first and see if you even have room to go a couple inches... you might be the unfortunate soul i seen in my Chiltons manual that has a big part of the oil pump acutaly sittin down in the pan, so you might not beable to take out more than a 1/2-1"

I took alot out of my pan, but the only thing that was lower than the crankshaft bolts was the oil pickup... so it was pretty easy to modify it to make everything clear.

Ok...how are we to know if we have the oil pick up tube that sits down in the sump of the oil pan? I juss got a re-man motor for my truck and the oil pan on it sits WAY lower than the one on the old motor...im thinkin about askin for my old oil pand back cause it all drug on and flat. lol

Just pull the pan off and it will be extremly obvious.

Or you could flip thru your chiltons manual and look in the oil pump/pickup seciton it should have a picture of what your motor looks like under the pan.

We took a huge chunk out of my pan and redid the whole sending unit. its one of those mods no one will ever see but its makes the truck go..

i think miles is just a bitch....

Oooo i see how it is, just cuz i aint been out to vegas in along time im a beotch huh lol..

Anwyays what ride did you seciton the pan on the nissan?.. thing i lookin nice BTW

Oh yeah and the oil pan deal might not be an obvious mod when you look at the truck from the outside at a show, but if you dont get the motor down on your doored rodeo this moster 7" cowl hood is what you have to look forward too
