Protege 5 H/U Questions

I have an MP3 deck I want in my MP5, and I wam wondering if there is anything I need to know about the factory alarm. I've put quite few decks in other cars but none with any kind of alarm before. Does the alarm go through the deck like some other cars? I really hate to just install it and then have something screw up on me and pay someone a whole bunch of money to fix it. Thanks in advance.
