dave's 98 f-150 got me into trucks. i was into lowriders for years and never thought about doing a truck untill i saw his. went out the very next week and got me a brand new 98 ex cab step side to try and do the same to mine as he had done to his however i didnt know at the time that body drops and 20's would run 8000 or more lol so i did what i could and ended up with 18's bags rag top system in the back seat and clear tails with the same side emblems and i was happy with it, not as nice as dave's but still a clean truck i think

the very first truck that got me into it was in 1989...it was my dad's 1982 Silverado...my uncle and him heated up the springs one day and he brought it home about 3" lower than stock...I turned 16 in 1993 and every single ride Ive ever owned has had something custom done to it.....so, it was my dad who got me into customization, and one of my best buddies Mike, who had the first badass mini that I knew in person....ahhhhhh the memories....awwesome thread

Dave's truck is what did it for me too. Spring break in daytona one year he drug past me in my completley stock truck at the time and that was it. I knew what I wanted to do.

i saw my first lowered mini truck living on Guam back in 1984 while stationed there with my dad. a sweet NISSAN 720. the island was covered with 720's. right before we moved back stateside in Dec 86, a guy showed up from the states with his hardtop convertible 720. it was the talk of the island. i bought my 720 as soon as i got back the US of A and have had it ever since. my 720 was actually a "Reader's Ride" in the Feb 89 issue Truckin (pre-MT).

nothing like the mini truck world!!!!

What got me into Minitruckin and the sport. Was, whan I saw Mike Finnegan's truck featured in Minitruckin about 12-13 years ago. It was a 96 or 97 taco that was Carolina blue, it was body drop and it was turbo charged too. That was a bada** truck!
