I wrecked my truck and i need a new rear lowerer control arm bracket for the drivers side. Mine was folded over in the accident and it is beyond repair. I can't order a new one from the dealership because it's part of the frame w/o ordering a whole new frame! All the salvage yards i've called don't want to bother going and cutting the bracket off because it's not worth thier time. If anyone has a 97 + Dakota frame or know where i can find what i need that would be great!!

technically its totaled. unless you can find someone to make you a bracket.

I know. I didn't bother with collison insurance because if it ever did get wrecked, which it did, it would be totaled. A '97 Dakota with 145,000 isn't worth anything to an insuracne company any ways. i just need the bracket. What i wanted to do was cut the bracket off on the welds where it is welded to the frame and do the same to my damaged piece and have my dad's body shop weld it back in. i'll take reasonable offers for it if any one is interested in finishing it, or trade for any mopar muscle car, shelby charher or harly sportster

i bought a new frame section from a junkyard and cut the brackets I needed off and, then had the brackets defused from the metal that was on the back of the bracket. Had the truck put on a frame machine and it was off 1/4" and then had the brackets welded back on. My weak air compressor cost me about $1,300 to fix. Which was almost all the money i've made this summer! Oh well i'll have to wait for paint next spring.
