while driving my truck, if i let the rear down real low, below a certain psi, i hear a squeaking sound under the bed. I have a forward triangulated four link with the bags on the upper bars, and i don't know if the pinion angle is off or if the drive shaft is being pulled slightly out of the transmission or what? i have no problems with anything at ride height or higher. any suggestions?

is it a 2 piece? if it is you're most likely jamming the carrier bearing into itself layed out; fine at ride height; & pulling the hell out of it at full extension. if it's a rather extreme amount you can take your shafts into almost any driveline shop & have them weld in a slip joint (kinda like another yolk - like the lowriders use with the large hydro cylinders) that's what i just had to do for my new rear setup. hope that helps
good luck...

its a one piece drive shaft, and i've been driving it everyday for 3 months or so with no problems as long as the rear of the truck is at least 3 inches (i guess) off the ground or higher. thanks for the reply though, im sure someone has heard of this happening before...

could be the driveshaft is pushing into the tranny... my buddies truck did this after we bagged it you either need to move the axle back or get the shaft shortened...

in my buddies case the axle was forward a bit and it was causing this

with my original shaft i had that same problem but it was'nt under the bed.

it turned out to be this piece (i don'[t know what to call it)that protects the the yolk it was being pushed into the tranny so i just trimmed it off.

check your driveshaft for rub marks, could be rubbing on the bed supports or crossmembers if you did not trim them

THAT IS WHERE I WOULD START CAUSE THAT IS A COMMON PROBLEM

driveshaft tunnel and the crossmember at the backend of the cab...check that also.
