Lifting an 2wd 05 Silverado with 35s?

A friend of mine has an 05 silverado and was gonna do a 7 inch lift with 35s and the tire place told him that the 35s wont work they said he wont be able to turn?

with a 7" lift? he may have to trim the bumper a little but i dont think there should be that much of a problem. worst comes to worst use a smaller tire

whatpart of the bumper? is it just the inside lip?

the bottom wheelwell corners of the bumper.

it will be close w/ a 2wd...my buddys 2wd has 9" and it clears 37s barely so....will be close man

i have a 99 gmc w/ 9" lift . i have 35" on 18" rims and they dont hit
