ok ran all my painless wire'n stuff and now have to wire up the altinator and i have no idea how its not a one wire so if anyone has pictures or just can tell me what goes were it would be great

Which GM alternator is it??

If it is the one( i know this is a pic of a one wire, but the 3 wire has the same casing) like this to turn it on you will have to jump from the main power post to where the factory plug goes in like so..., but you dont have to ground it to the batt...

or this one??

If it is this one, you will just need to run the brown wire on the factory plug to an on/off switch or straight to the post on the rear of the alt, the only problem with runnig straight to the post is the voltage reg will always be on and it will drain the battery over time. Then just run the wier from the back of the post to your battery or starter. I prefer the starter because it cleans looks nicer when you cant see the wires :)
