Taillight Conversion

i have a set of 66 mustang taillights here and have a few questions....these lights are set up with 1 bulb and it does it all turn, running and brake lights...my ranger has 2 bulbs to do this...how would i rewire this to make it work the way i need it to. (i'm just not going to have reverse lights as they were seperate on the older mustangs) i'll be putting these lights on my rollpan i just need to know how to wire them...pluse the only thing coming out of this taillight housing is the end of the taillight i figured there would be 4 wires (1 ground and 1 for each function but theres not...) so does anyone know how to wire this? any help would be appreciated

you will need a converter for a trailer from a 2 bulb to a 1 bulb. OR you could find a harness from a 00 up ranger since they are 2 bulb instead of 3...

where exactly could i find a trailor converter....and about how much do you think they would cost...i can go to the junkyard and maybe get a harness for an 00 or newer ranger...so the 2 bulbs in the new rangers are 1 for brake, running, turn, and another for back up?

98+ rangers/mazdas have 3 bulbs. I put 04 Mazda b4000 taillights in my truck and had to rewire the turn signal and brake lights but thats it!

Did you wire that to a 1 bulb setup like bagged85 was talking about, if so how did you rewire it? I'm interested..i may have gotten into too deep, but this crap will work b4 i'm done..haha it's too crazy not too..thanks in advance for the help

I have never seen tail lights on an ice chest.... oh thats a ranger.... hmm, looks a little weird to me

its definetely different,i kinda half like and half not like it. i think what makes the rear end of your truck look funny is your bedcover. id get rid of it. get a flush mount.
