What made me a minitrucker? Buying a minitruck. J/k... I always enjoyed hacking my cars to bits and the mini truckin scene seems to endorse that. Every other scene wants you to max out your cards and rob your parents so you can afford the latest, greatest thing. Mini truckin' is all about custom. If you try something new, even if it looks like shit, you still get respect for going there. Nobody expects a shiny new paint job or some blingin' ass 24's or anything like that. It's all about having the balls to do something new and unique. Even if you have a p.o.s. that barely runs, people still encourage you to make it cool. There are so many haters out there with the Escalades and the Lexus' (which they're still paying for) that love to give us shit, but we still think the best thing in life is throwin' sparks in their faces. Both my truck and my van have been primered since god knows when, but I still get compliments on them for being so out of the ordinary. I can't even count how many cadillacs I've seen that look exactly the same, but everyone seems to think that's what it takes to be cool; then they see my shit. I work at a gas station so I see all different types, from the bondo'd ricers to the H2's with 500k boats behind them. And I wouldn't trade my '93 s-10 longbed for any of them. The brotherhood and all that isn't restricted to just mini trucks, it just seems like everyone with any ambition, creativity, and a will to impress --> themselves

i remember seeing a slammed ass dually one time, and thought, what a mexican ride, i thought it was sooo ugly, then 5 years ago i bought my blazer, and bored one night at work, i picked up a mini truckin mag and saw a BD'd blazer, just like mine on the back cover in an ad for MIC. ever since then, i have had to have switches, it took a while to get them, but i made sure i got them... and now i cant live with out them

It's nice to have something you earned. That's why I love my truck because I built it without depending on anyone else to SUPPORT my lifestyle. I think it makes something worth more when you have to pay to fix some thing you break, without having someone wipe your ass for you, like dragging through a whole lower cross member into an oil pan. That might cost you a whole new front clip. It would suck to have to DEPEND on other people to help you out with something like that. I think what would make you a Minitrucker at that point is being hardcore enough and down to fix it yourself. There are a lot of things that would make you a Minitrucker... That's just one of them. Real Minitruckers are not made with time. You become a real Minitrucker through perseverance and never giving up. I do what I do because I love it. I

My pops took me to a Muffelerman on one of those "Take Your Kids To Work Days" where he was doing work on their computer systems, and on the hoist in the back the shop guys were putting an exhause on a slammed fullsize Chevy. All saved out, 15" polished wheels, he had 3 TV's in the console, and I mean TV's not monitors with purple tweed all over the place... Ever since then I was hooked on trucks, then I got my Ranger in 98 and never looked back!

I just kind of fell into it. I got a Ranger new, started looking into more info on it, and found out about mini-truckin'. Now, I have bags and I can't imagine not having them!
