I TOLD A BUDDY OF MINE THAT I WANTED TO RUN A BELT DRIVEN COMPRESSOR ON MY SILVERADO, HE SAID THAT MY WOULD WASTE A LIL MORE GAS THAN USUAL. IS THIS TRUE OF FALSE. I DONT REALLY BELIEVE HIM BUT U NEVER KNOW.

Just like runnin the ac when the compressor is locked in pumping it will put lil more strain on engine which will use lil more gas but not enuff to really notice. Prob same or less than running multiple electric comps and running the alternator hard.

False, the EDC kits are supper effecient and they only run for a short time. Its not like a/c where you have it running for hours at a time. Its on at say 110psi and off at 200psi, I have never experienced any lose in mpg on any of my trucks or customers rides for that matter. When an EDC can be applied I personally think they are the best way to go, but thats my .02$.

Like keef said, when you add more components that are useing BELTS to engage it will use more BUT not enough to notice. Good question but not enought to even notice or make a diference.

I think your buddy is gonna be pissed when he has to wait 5 mins for air, and you flip on the EDC and in 20 secs (170-200) your hittin switches, best thing i ever did was run a York 210. except i still have top wait for all my friends and they're two vairs. (But i'm only saying this because i have a fullsize, and it always needs alot of air.)
