supercharged civic si questions

hey guys, i just bought a supercharged si, and im not too familiar with the import scene. ive always been more of a muscle car man, but i was told that the car requires me to let it idle for a while before killing it. i know this is true of turbos, but supers too? blake_lemoine@yahoo.com

my boy had a eclipse that was supercharged and if i recall there was a timer on it where the fan blew after the car was shut off for a few mins or so to cool down the charger or something. i know most turbos have a timer that will keep the fan on for a few mins or something like that.

I have a Jackson on my SI and I dont have to do that? Never heard of such a thing with a supercharger, but I would never doubt it.
