Ok i have a 351w in my mazda and im gonna go with a york 210. I was just wandering how do i no if the compressor is still good and how do i hook up the clutch does it wire into the pressure switch or how does it no to shut off?

To findout if the compressor is good, spin the clutch with your hand, and see if you can feel air pumping out one of the ports, make sure it has about 8oz of A/C oil in the crank case, and the clutch can be wired through a toggle switch, or a pressure switch. Be sure to use a relay, and also make sure you have a good ground on the clutch or you will burn it.

you can hook it up to a pressure switch, toggle switch, or whatever you choose. I never hooked up a york, but mine has a power and ground wire. hook the pressure switch up accordingly to those wires.

as far as telling if it works, hook it up. you should be able to spin it with your hand and see if it is getting suction and pushing air, but it may not be working 100%.

you also need power running to the clutch so it ingages if power hooked up and free spins clutch is bad...........
then do as others have said above

i hooked mine with a hotwire from the main fusebox and splitted the ground with a toggle.
