Ok -

What all do I need to do a conversion to 5 lug on my mazda? I am hearing that the toyota front end conversion works well...also whats all involved with using a rx7 rear end?

Basically I'm looking for any suggestions on what will work best and be the most practicle.

Also:

What are my options for wheels up front? I was looking at doing 20x8's all the way around is this even possible? I've been out of the loop for a few years so I'm just trying to get some info before I start buying my parts...

And more:

After reading some more in the forums...do the escalade wheels bolt right up to the mazda lug pattern? if so would navigator wheels work too?

Thanks in advance for any info.

For the front its much easiler just to get the hubs redrilled...

20x8's should fit u'll just need alot of offset.

The escalades will bolt right up if u either cut the tabs off the mazda hub or get the center of the wheel machined. If you cut the tabs off u will need bludge style lug nuts and u will be coverting from hub centric to something more like gm's lug centric...
The navigator wheels will fit if u force them on BUT ITS NOT SAFE! the lug pattern is off u will need to get your hubs and axles redrilled to run them the right way!

Whats involved in putting an rx7 IRS in you ask...

Quite a bit... you've got to make a new rear frame clip for the IRS to mount to... then you've gotta make sure the IRS is setup properly in that clip, centered, right pinion angle, etc etc... its a bit of work. I've got pics of mine in my profile if you want to have a look.
