Ok, so my truck is running like major shit right now and if its something major I have been seriously thinking of ditching my 4.8 in my 2001 GMC and going old school with a high horsepower 350. The thing is that I still want to be able to drive it. So, my (dumb) question is, being that my truck is a 2001 with a computer controlled 4.8, will it still pass inspection if I throw a 350 in there?
I dont know abou texas, butI assume since its a 2001 it'll have to meet emissions requirements. That should be the only prob you'll run into
Do a 6.0 swap. Buddy has one running mid 12s all motor and gets good gas mileage also. Drives back and forth from louisiana and oklahoma all the time.
ls7 would be nice. I wouldn't get to crzy cause you would have to buy stickers for a long time.
