wiring a dakota....2004

i need help wiring my switch box and pressure switch... i need to know where to get the power from. right now i have them tapped into the cigarette lighter, but i keep blowing fuses. where else should i try to tap them into, is there a certain fuse that i can tap into, or a certain wire under the steering wheel? This is stopping me from driving my dak right now so i kinda need help soon

you need to grab the ignition wire at the stearing collum. it is a dark blue wire. the constant wires are pink with a black stripe or red with a light blue stripe. dont grabb it at the fuse, go directly to the wire. you should solder the connection insted of t-taps or shcotch locks

so i am looking for a dark blue wire...do i run the switch box and the pressure switch from that, or just one to that, and one to another wire????

you can run them both of the ignition wire, unless you want your switches to work without the key on, the you run the switches to the pink and black or the red with light blue
