Flip forward hood

I am wanting to do a flip forward hood on my 1997 dakota. i would like to see some other flip forward hoods first, especially on a dakota if anyone has one. Some good pics and any advice would be greatly appreciated.

surely someone on here has a flip forward hood.

ive got one on my truck but dont have any pics. and for future reference its called a suicide hood!

lots of people use stock buick lesabre hood hinges since the older models have suicide hoods from the factory. readily available at junkyards and cheap.

heres a how to on an s-10. definately not the cleanest install with all those washers but its good for ideas.

thats what i have, the lesabre setup. the only thing is: the bar that runs across the front of the motor(supports the hood)between the hinges that bastard eventually i guess has gotten weak and isnt as tight, so eventually that bar when i shut the hood would get pushed down on the fan shroud in turn making the shroud hit my fan. thats not good. so if u use this lesabre setup, before u put it on the first time id recommend making(cutting,bending up,then rewelding it) that bar hump up in the middle at least the width of the hump in your fan shroud so u dont have this same gay ass problem i did. hell the bastard sounded like there was a machine gun war going on under my hood!

i said all that earlier^^^^^^^^^^ now i realized that was stupid cuz you drive a dakota and i have a s10 so that may not apply to your truck or maybe it will. i dont know, just trying to help and wasnt paying attention! lol
