Ok i've been planning on finishing my front end.on my 93 civic coupe, for a awhile ive been thinking on a simple setup for a unibody,i dont want some shit all crazy looking and taking up space under my hood, where it will be harder to work on so i came up with this little setup.i would like opions on it.
the black lines are the bars i will be welding in,(thought maybe anthother bar by the strut tower)im going with a 14gauge or 16 gauge metal, the red is what im going to finish cutting out.

sorry i dont know how to post pics.all opions will be great, good, bad ,and even helpful ones.

Make braces unbolt, so shits easy to work on. If you have supports like that, you would have to cut them if you ever had to pull the motor.

that would look alright but do a lil custom work to the bars and make it stand out from the rest so it dont look like every other persons unibodied civic!

having your braces able to unbolt is definetaly a good idea! i think seth may be a genious!

I'd be willing to bet its been done before. Making them unboltable. I mean engine compartment roll cages on race cars are done that way, I'm sure some Honda owner has too. I just don't know.

all the one's i have seen look like they were welded in

Mines bolted in, thats the only way to go.

it's just as easy to drop the motor down out of the car as it is to pull it up. I would still recommend making them unbolt though just simple maintenance might be easier.

Well you can tell by looking at it it would be wise to bolt it in.

It would be impossible to get the battery out. The intake would be a pain. And justs think if you ever had to work on your brake booster
