You may or may not know that Sport Truck and Mini Truckin' Magazines are throwing another Havok event in Louisville Auguts 5-6th. The guys from sport truck (ok just me and Galen) will be cruising all the way from Cali to the show in a '67 Chevy that we are building. We've got less than a month and will be pulling all-nighters to get this thing in running/driving shape. It was a perfectly good, used truck but since we can't leave well enough alone, its now recieving a tube chassis, IRS, bags, 22's and an all aluminum small block. I'll update this thread each day as time permits with new pics until we hit the road for kentucky on tuesday August 1st.

Pics and info to follow or you can just check my profile to see the current ones.

Profile of Build up here!

I bought this truck in northern cali' for 3K. it was a running, drivable '67 shortbed.

Here's the donor suv that we'll be robbing the IRS from. We'll only be using the differential but the junkyard would only sell me the complete rear end

We built the chassis using 2x4-inch.120 wall tubing. The xmembers and ars are 4130 chromoly

mocking up the cab and sheetmetal

gas tank in and rear arms almost completed. still have to gusset and plate arms

Scotts Hot Rods IFS will need a few alterations to lay out on 22's.

GMPP LS2 crate motor is a tight fit but weighs very little and will help the in the handling department

What are you using for rear axles?

thanks guys. its gonna be a short month. lol

the axles and IRS are out of a 2003 Expo. We shortened the stock axles for mock up purposes to fit 22x10's inside the bed. the rear cycles 16-inches of travel without binding up. We'll have new axles made using the stock CV joints next week.
