try the rearend, usually they are right on top of the pumpkin

i just looked on directechs.com and they done even list a wire for that year! so im not sure! i will do some research when i go to work tomorrow!

It is right on top of the pumpkin on the rear end, or that is where the one on my 97 was, shouldn't be any different

here is a better question...how would you go about adapting it to a new rear end if at all possible.

There is some sort of sensor built into the abs module.I no that for a fact cause a buddy of mine bagged one and removed the abs and the speedo wouldnt work until he reinstalled the abs.

Look at Terrys (impoundeddakota) he stuffed a Supra IRS in there, and had to pull some stupid gear that looks like a bicycle front sprocket out of his old rear end custom attach it to the halfsaft of the IRS to get the speedo to work.
