i have cleaned them and i bought valve silencers to keep the crap out. they seem to do fine until they get warm. in the morning they are fine but in the middle of the day they stick. and if im on side it sticks also.
i had the same problem on 2 of my vlaves.. they would stick slightly open and they were brand new.. all i did was take them apart blow a little dust out of it and make sure it was clean and put it back together... worked great!
Sometimes brass will get sliced off the fittings when you tighten them together and get stuck up in there. About the best thing to do is take them apart and blow them out real good.
thats true but y would it only happen when the valves are warm. I live in az so in the morning is like 70 and the day is like 100. so its 2 extremes i deal with.
how tight are the clearances inside the valve. if they are really small than when it gits warm out they could heat up and expand slightly but i may be just enough to cause it to screw up. or there could be some debris in side the valve that olny screws with it when it get warm cuz of the expansion. im not saying this is whats happening but its a possibility
I've had bad luck with the SMC 3/8" valves, but the 1/2" valves have never failed me, maybe it's just something to do with the design of the smaller valves?
