Can you convert the a/c compressor on a fullsize chevy?

I have a viair 450 but want to use it as a backup and run my a/c compressor as my main air supply, its all there just need to know if it will work before I ruin anything.

I am told that you can do it, but I am not sure how you lubicate it??? I have an onboard that works great, but it uses oil to lube it self. Freon is the lube agent in a air compressor. So what will it use to lube.

you can use the sanden, you just need an external oiler that gives oil to the compressor.. just keep it full daily.. a friend of mine has on one his 96 bd'ed tahoe
