got a new duramax, and it has a bunch of banks upgrades, but nothing works because the six gun is not working. i know this isn't mush of a deisel performance sight but you guys have never failed me before. Where can i talk to people that know about this shit and can help me fix it.

does your 6 gun set-up have the pda with it (palm pilot)? That set-up has had some issues with both the palm pilot itself, the flash card going bad and the docking station itself sometimes has problems with the connectors on it.

If it doesn't have the pda on the system, it should have a knob mounted somewhere in the vehicle. that knob controls the levels (performance levels, think there are 6 on that system, stock, 35 hp, 55, hp, 75 hp etc)
at any rate, that knob controls the tuner module, and in the stock position, turns the controller off. so, first, check the power and ground connections to the tuner, (if you bought it from a dealer, they may have unhooked the power to it to prevent any lawsuit possibility, or warranty concerns etc. and or for smog)
start there and let me know what happens

it's got the knob took a call to the banks tech department and an om meeter but i had a conecttion on the tranny temp sensor than was reading 10 volts and i needed 12 one new butt conector later i was blowin smoke,, thanks anyways man i don't think you really care but i had it dynoed on friday and i'm running 440hp and 750 foot pounds respectible yes but now i want more. (if i can aford diesel)

Ditch the banks 6 gun....there are better programmers out there that will give much more power. Such as a SCT tuner. There is a company out there that will set up the programmmer to your specs.

K&N cold air intake, Magna Flow turbo back 4" exhaust, Diablosport Predator programmer, Banks elbow and trans brake, ATS torque convertor and power valve,..........
plenty of power, plenty of torque....... not a ton of smoke either (which means it's burning efficiently)
but glad to hear you got your set-up running right and everythings working on it!!
can't go wrong w a turbo diesel!!

Try to stay away from K&N Intakes. A lot a people say that dont filter enough for a diesel. If you get one try to get an AFE Magnum Force.

don't filter enough? they filter almost twice what a stock one does!
the problem, on some diesels, which would so far be the 6.0 powersrokes, was that they let so much air flow through that the stock mas read an error and the truck would go into a "safety" mode. but, they remidied the problem by correcting the honeycomb in the mas unit and haven't had any problems since. the afe units are decent units, but don't allow for alot of power or torques gains as they are about 30% more efficient than the stock set-up. k&N is closer to 90% better flow....... you be the judge.......

and yeah......both my vehicles right now are sponsored through k&n, but it is a superior product so it's hard to argue with it. afe does however make a good exhaust for diesels which is fairly inexpensive compared to some of the premium models. we sell them all day long......

Sorry I said it wrong. They filter TOO much and let dirt in(if your drive on dirt roads a lot). Thats what I heard...I dont listen to none though...HAHA! I run a K&N on my 6.0 F550 and my 6.0 Excursion. I am just trying to help. I heard the AFE is great though. Just $$$
