Lowering - coilovers and too much bounce...

I just lowered my 98 Accord....got new KYB shocks and some coilovers. I was under the impression that the car would bounce a lot if stock shocks were used, but the aftermarket shocks would eliminate the bounce. Umm....wrong??? My car bounces like a sob - the car looks nice lowered but I don't know if I want to sacrifice the ride for the looks or what. Guess what I'm trying to say is - do all cars bounce with coilovers??

What kind of coilovers and are they adjustable struts. I had Ground Control coilovers with Koni adjustables rode better than factory and handled like a S.O.B., but then I went air and out the window went the handling.

it all depends on the brand of coilovers, that you are using.i'm going to assume they are cheaper sleeve type coilover with a shitty spring rate...junk. it could be your shocks too. if they are the grey kybs then they are just an oem replacement, which are not intended to be used on a lower car. my old set up was like chris's...koni reds and ground controls, it handled like a mofo and rode like stock.

They're some cheap coilovers from ebay...then again, the most expensive coilovers I saw on ebay were only $40. The shocks are KYB GR2.....I can't keep pouring money into everything, so I guess I'll have to have a shitty ride for a little while......don't know.

a true oilover is a full coil and strut all in one lke the tein sstem or the skunk 2 I have the skunk 2 full coilover no bounce hella low great handeling not as smooth as a ride that the tein system has but my skunks handle alot better
