Before I started cutting mine, we measured right at 5" to the doors. You won't have to worry about an 18" wheel and your hood, it won't even be close. Mine is about 1/2" past the door and my 215/35R18 isn't even close to touching the hood.

Everyone has their own opinion on how far looks too far. I think door draggers don't look too hot lifted up either, that's why I did what I did to not have to lift mine up. I have full steering clearance on 18s when laid on the ground, and it looks COCK laid out and I never have to lift it.

A local guy went 3/4" from the door, with 40 series 18s and had plenty of room Corey. It looked sick as hell too.

Well I marked off where i think im gonna cut them...

I took a peice of 2" masking tape and had it flush with the door... so the tape goes just under the rocker where it starts to curve under the truck... Im not 100% sure thats where im gonna cut it yet, but i think it looks pretty good there and keeps the profile of the rocker instead of looking like it just ends.

Well... I cut into the rockers 1-3/4" from the pinch!

Well Rudy, we all know your truck is dead sexy, I just need to get motivated to work on mine again. As soon as the cab is done, then it's on to the chop

Corey, rendering looks awesome by the way

Thanks wayne...

Funny thing is it's gonna look a lot different from that now... plans have changed since I got it done.
