I know there have been threads about this. But I am looking for some history or info on 2 wheel drive bronco 2s. I have found a factory 2 wheel drive in my area for cheap ($400) Can you get lowereing kits etc? thanks in advance.

pretty much, but no. the ibeams are different(chassicrap is the only place who makes them, if tehy still do) i would just build a new frame if you plan on bodydropping it. also some 2wd bIIS came w/ a dummy transfer case.

i was joking with my parents when they bought one new in 88 and told them i was going to lower it, til i crawled underneth it to see it was basically a 4x4 with no front driveshaft

Only some years had the transfercase and 4x4 trans tho right???Ive seen both, but only one I saw had an actual 2wd trans, could it have been swapped in?
