s-10 shocks

i need some help figurin out if i have a broke shock......when i hit any kind of bump while making a right turn i hear a pop.....and when i hit a bump pretty straight on it does the same thing.....so im thinkin the shock is busted....and if i take them off....whats gonna be different witht he ride....worse or better?

WORSE...shocks are cheap...if that is the problem just get new ones....Is ur truck bagged?? Sounds like u may have a loose spring cup if it is...or one htats not seated right in the pocket...itll will the make this same noise for a regular spring tooi fit isnt in the pocket right!!

ya the trucks bagged....and theres no oil on the shock or anything....i thought that would be a good wayt 2 tell if it was busted n thats y im not sure.....but shocks make the ride worse?

shocks are over-rated... ha the front shock mounts busted on my truck so i threw the shocks completly out of the picture... it rides a little better i think with more lift because the shocks are no longer there holding it down.

i gotta 02 s10 with no shocks up front and it rides like a caddy! got slam bags up front and they're a lot stiffer than my old contitechs so i guess it depends on your bag selection too!
