Has anyone particularly chromed the S10 or Sonoma steering linkage before? And if so what did you do before you sent them off? If you took out the ball joints and bushings, how did you do it?? Or did you leave it all in and it came back ok?? let me know, thanks

not a sonoma but... on my toyota, i had the balljoints out of the upper and lower control arms, then on all the steering left all the pitmans in they just tape over the threads so none of it gets chromed, then i had to get some vw bug rubber boots to go over hte pitmans again, and the steering shaft with the u-join and heim joint just all got chromed as one piece... hope this helps...

yea depending on the shop u will want to ask if they blast it all for you and clean it all up, some places will have u clean it up yourself and sandblast it yourself , cuz it will save you $ .... thats what i did

Yeah I bought all new parts I just did not know if the ball joints pressed out of the tie rod ends, or if you just leave them in.
