ok i got my FBI 4 link kit..and i wanna mount it on my FBI gas tank crossmember..heres the problem..theres ntoe nough room for the longer bars to be mounted between the corssmember and the zxle!!

so my question is..is it ok and/or safe to run the shorter bars on top triangulated and the long bars parralel?? or will this throw everything off?

I don't know what your 4link kit looks like, but I will tell you this. The long bars usually go on top because you want the mounting points on your 4link to be on the same spot on the frame. When you triangulate the bar, it needs to be longer to reach that point. Basically, from front to back- the lengths of the bars should be equal. You can get away with shorter upper bars you just need to mount them in a fashion that will minimize axle roll. I wouldn

Kyle is right about that. The longer bars are supposed to go up top, ideally. If you're going over the axle with your bags, you can get away with a lot of difference, but your pinion angle will change at the extreme highs and lows.
The bars are mild steel, so if you're feeling confident you can always cut them down and re-tap them at the length you need for your application. This is all custom stuff, and every install is different!

of course ..i know that phil....but this si what i have decided to do..run the shorter bars triangulated witht hem centeered on the crossmember and spread apart on the axle..and the longer bars on the bottom of the axle and the front of them mounted outside the frame...now for this i can jsut druill a hole threw the frame put the bolt threw that hole throw in some kind of a spacer then put the link bushing end right on that bolt right??
