what optima battery to get

go yellow. Optima is the best thing out there. i love me and have installed well over a 100 of them. oh yea, im sponsored by them so i maybe bias. Blue and yellow are the same, just have differant case and post for the water. you could run a blue in a car. Nothing last for ever, but they seem to.

ypu may also want to consider the exide orbital dt78. i have 9 of them in my van and love them. more cranking amps than any optima.

you want a red top for just starting, nothing else. and then yellow tops for your compressors. dont try running red tops for your compressors, you'll be unhappy.

I had a red top freebie lasted for ever then my dumb brother let my cousin use it after that it had a hole in the side !

has anyone ever had any problems with optimas? I had two yellow tops and they both took a crap. I was using one, and the other was brand new and they are both junk now. won't hold a charge.

I have a yellow top it keeps up with my amp and two compressors just fine over three years with it.
