you use red tops for the engine and yellow tops are for sounds, airbags etc:

Go with the Yellow and forget about the Red. Red are for your normal everyday car set up, No extra Toys. The Yellows are more durable.

GO WITH THE YELLOW!!! i promise you'll thank me.. the yellow is WAY tougher.. the red has higher numbers.. it makes you think its stronger, but if it EVER goes dead you might as well take it back.. the red's wont ever hold a good charge after they've been drained. i swear. i've been through about 10 of them since 2003 the reds match the paint on my truck so thats why i got them. i bought two, hooked them up together, and have hated them since i got them.. all you need is one yellow and it'll solve your batt problems..

True, the yellow ones are better. If they get drained,a couple of times from sitting, they may not recharge right. I have had 3 red and one yellow go out that way. The yellow did seem more durable though.

I've got 2 yellow tops and never have a problem starting and running everything. Even when the truck sits up for a while, it still starts every time.

the yellow top draws less amps as opposed to the red one the yellow one has a 1 year warranty and the red one has a 3 ive had both and have found the yellow one to be more durable have had problems getting the red ones back to life

I would say the yellow top, but I'm having a problem with mine holding a charge. Mine has been drained a couple of times from sitting and it seemed to take a charge, but it's only good for one crank of the motor then it's dead again. AND I called the place where I bought it from and found out it would be $135 to replace it.....I told th em to forget about that....
