wireing 2 optima batterys together

whats the best way 2 wire 2 optima battery's together?would it be best to wire one battery to the other battery positive to positive,and negative to negative.one battery is for the truck, and one battery is for the 2 air zenith compressors.

yes your right run them in series ang youll have more amperage with out runnig them @ 24V it will still be @ 12 volts
