does any one know what kind of metal epoxy adhesive they used to patch the 1/4 panel on ths s10 on trucks today? i know GM glues there tailgate relocator patch panles but does that stuff really work?

if you have automotive paint supply shop near you ask about the 3m metal epoxy I saw a demo at the finish masters store and its awsome and creates a strong bond best thing is you dont have to worry bout grinding teh welds down or heat worpage.

it is called speed grip the only bad thing about it is you can not have any filler or putty directly on top of it, it will cause bubbles. you can put fiberglass over it and then bondo or putty. duramix is also another name brand.

another shitty thing about those epoxy's is, if you paint your truck a light color or your stock color is light, it will show a yellow outline of where your panel is, over time. happened to more then 1 of my friends trucks, all done by very reputable shops

this stuff is crazy strong too. i've done body work right over it and had no problems with it yet

ive always been able to see the ring around the panel that got glued in but other than that that stuff works ok i used the sem stuff but i wont use it again because of that
