yeah im looking at ordering a suicide doors SUPER LIFT 4 link kit, and i was wondering if there is a general length you guys are running on the bars, if not...what do i need to measure...and i am fixing to get the axle shortened, will this change the measurements??

you can measure from the stock spring pack mount on the axel to the front hanger and use those to mount the bars, narrowing will not change the measurement. Then for the top you just have to figure out where you want the bars to mount and make your measurements, I would suggest the wishbone for your truck.

the stock spring perches will hold the truck off the ground. you can cut those rivets off and raise it, or move it forward or back. a good general length is 24-30". we offer very nice 4 links also, and are built and shipped very quickly. www.gravity-werx.com

btw, shortening the rear end wont change anything unless you will be shortening it more than like 5" total, then your wheel/tire will hit the link bar if you run it on the outside, and also if you try to mount the bag on the outside of the frame you will have some trouble with the tire.

Yeah, still going to whitesburg. Are you all going now? Your friend was xk was asking me about that that the other day on here. Those gravity-werx links are supposed to be very good also, just havn't messed with them personally.

i planned on shortening it about 2.5 - 3 inches on each side......is there another way to gain some space besides running diff. wheels???

you can fit the bars in there, but its a tight fit if you try to run your bags in there too. look at the pic in my profile in the misc pics, thats a dodge with 20x8.5 w/ +12mm offset wheels, rear end narrowed 5" total.

run the bars on the inside of the frame, thats how mine is done, works fine. Just box a section of te frame to attach your bag mount to and run a 1.5" heavy wall dom tube cross member and attach your bars to that then to the axel on the inside.
