So, I'm thinking about buying a hardbody for a daily driver. What are some things I should look out for? Typical engine problems, ect. One that I'm looking at has over 240k, but it's a descent looking little truck. I think the price is kinda high though for that many miles. Also, is there anything that needs to be done to either the truck or the wheels to run 17" Escalades on it?

lotta miles. probably time for a timing chain set and oil pump. the KA motor is pretty solid though.

for the wheels, you either have to bore out the centers or grind down the tabs on the hubs.

my harbodys got 280,000mls and i can still burn out in 2 gears.your probably gonna have to replace the fuel pump mine went about 6 months ago.nissan hardbodys are great if it over heats all you gotta do is take out the thermostat and not put it back cool motor all the time

Well I have 5.. My dad has one and it has 600,000 miles on the original motor and its a 93.. All we had to do was change the normal stuff that would brake like the alt, starter, clutch, and A/C compressor.. But its all stock motor.. And it doesn't even burn oil.. Oh and its even the stock timing chain.. Hell at 123,000 on my 92 I had to change the timing cover and timing chain. But I'm a nissan freak and would rather have a nissan then my fords.. But soon I will be draging mine and want have to drive the ford, just only when I have to.. But anyways I would say jump on the deal.. You want be screwing yourself.. YOU WILL BE BETTERING YOURSELF and screwing the person you buy it from.. He will regret selling it.. Trust me.
