early to mid 80's camaro tranny

This is a long shot but did any camaro ever come with a 700r4 transmission? I'm pullin the motor out of my friends camaro to put in my truck but I need a 700r4 tranny to do my swap, would the car happen to have a 700r4?

then they switched to the 4l60e

minivans, trucks, camaros, pretty much any chevro vehicle.

late 80's camaros had the 700R4, 84 and up but dont quote me ... my friend GOOGLE can give you a for sure answer thou

camaro's and caprice's had the 700r4 after 84.

hopefully its out of an 86 for some reason they are the stongest ones, all the camaros and firebirds have them from 84 to 92 (some earlier), 93 and up are 4l60e which just a 700r4 that is computer controlled
