Hey fellas. Whats the difficulty of moving my stock tank back behind the axel (or) getting a fuel cell!?! Its a 97 short box F/S. Anyone have any tips using the stocker, or a Junkyard special?
Thanks,
DB

no clue what pita ratio is, but the stock tank will only fit in the bed behind the axle.

go with the fuel cell

sorry dude

I would really like to use the stock tank. Will the stock pump work with it farther away from the engine??? its a vortec

yea it will work fine.

i did this on a customers truck....moved the stock tank to behind the axel and built a beefy ass square tube "cage" around it and it works fine, his is a 97 vortech 350, biggest hassel was gettin the filler neck tubeing bent so that the gas would flow and not stayt in the neck.

sorry for the crappy pic but its the only one i had up loaded

that backhalf doesnt count im assuming hes talking about a stockframe.

find a 97ish suburban gas tank. fits between the frame rails, use your stock sending unit etc, and it'll look better then the long truck tank.
