I am really trying to figure out the wires on the harness for my caprice so that I can correctly hook up an aftermarket head unit. I got the plug adapter and I just want to identify which wires are for which speakers as well as the other power wires. I've already identified as much as I could using a multimeter and the labeling on the adapter plug. Here is the catch, there is one dumb wire that is "bare" and has a clear plastic sleeve loosely covering it. What does it go to? the adapter plug wire that lines up with it is for a negative speaker feed and to me that doesn't make sense.

Just a little help?, pretty please?

The colors of teh wires on the adapter plug should match up with the wires comin out of the HU

anyway the white, gray, purple and green wires are the speaker outs...the yellow is constant power(memory), the red is switched power(on some CD players these are switched around), the orange is the dimmer/illumination and black is ground
