Sanding and waiting?

Is it alright to start sanding down the clearcoat when you have time and then spray it later? As in a couple days? Not a year under the rain or anything...I just wanna get started on the prep work while I have time, and get at it bit by bit. Will I need to do anything before I spray if it's been a couple of days? Thanks guys!

you can sand it and what a bit but right be fore you are ready to tape it just sand it wash over it all real good with a grey pad and a good sanding paste
